This person will be the Senior AML Quality Assurance Manager and act as the Deputy MLRO for the company. more details· Review of AML Cases: thoroughly review customer cases analysed by the AML Analysts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and effectiveness in identifying suspicious activities as well as adherence to internal processes and procedures/protocols.
· Documentation Review: examine AML documentation, including customer profiles, transaction records, and investigative reports, to verify the accuracy and completeness of information.
· Analyst Guidance: advise AML Analysts on handling cases more effectively, providing guidance on how to address problematic cases and diffuse challenging situations.
· Risk Identification: identify areas of operational risk within the AML Department and make recommendations for process improvements, compliance enhancements, and additional training to mitigate potential risks.
· Reporting: prepare comprehensive reports on the results of quality assurance reviews, highlighting findings and making recommendations for corrective actions and process improvements.
· Regulatory Updates: stay up-to-date with relevant regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure that the AML ops remain compliant and effective.
· Act as the Deputy MLRO:
o Assist the MLRO in designing and carrying out AML/CTF risk assessments across the company.
o Regular analysis of the company’s AML/CFT and compliance efforts.
o Review internal SARs and discuss with the MLRO to decide on external reporting.
o Deal with regulatory and law enforcement bodies in reference to suspicious transaction reports submitted externally to the relevant FIU, in the absence of the MLRO.
o Assist the MLRO in standardising and writing down current ML/TF processes and training the staff in using those to judge cases on a regular basis.
· Training and Awareness: work together with the MLRO to provide guidance, feedback, and support to improve the quality of AML processes and decision-making as necessary.
· Ad-Hoc Support: assist the operations team in any ad-hoc tasks related to AML quality assurance and process improvement.
· Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the AML space (including but not limited to CDD\EDD, SOF\SOW, PEPs and Sanctions checks as well as transaction monitoring) within the online gambling industry.
· Knowledge of anti-money laundering regulations and best practices in different jurisdictions
· Prior experience in quality assurance, compliance, or AML-related roles.
· Solid experience in reviewing, interpreting, communicating, and applying AML/CTF legislation, regulations, rules and guidance.
· Experience of working within the UK regulated online gambling market.
· Passion or strong interest/knowledge towards responsible gambling would be an asset.
· Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
· Be easy to work with, personable and enjoy working in a fun and dynamic international business.
· High level of initiative and ability to work independently, taking ownership of workload and managing time appropriately.
· Relevant certifications are a plus.
