    Why player protection remains essential beyond Safer Gambling Week

    Our Sustainability Manager, Liesbeth Oost, highlights why Aspire Global is eager to build momentum in promoting safer gambling to players worldwide following another successful SG Week campaign.

    As an official supporter of Safer Gambling Week for the third consecutive year, we took great pride in promoting a series of initiatives to support players and reinforce the importance of a responsible culture to deliver a positive gaming experience.

    The UK campaign, along with similar initiatives such as European Safer Gambling Week via the iGaming European Network (iGEN), are a fantastic and effective way to deliver essential information to end users.

    We worked closely with our network of UK operators, consisting of over 50 brands, to educate all players about the importance of self-control, as well as a reminder of all the responsible gambling tools that are available to them.

    But as we reflect back on what was another successful Safer Gambling Week, providing a safe user journey to those who consume our content via our operator partners is the mindset Aspire Global holds across every day of the year.

    Such a mentality matches our overall ambition of focusing on regulated iGaming markets, which ultimately creates a better environment for everyone, most importantly the players themselves. In fact, 79% of Aspire Global’s revenue is coming from taxed and regulated markets, and our ambition is to increase this share over the coming months and years.

    At the core of our offering is a set of responsible gambling tools that are designed for self-control, enabling players to stick to their original intentions, and monitor and limit their gaming sessions and deposit levels.

    Ultimately, we facilitate online entertainment, and it is our fundamental belief that this should remain the focus of intention for when end users access our products.

    One of our commitments for 2022 was to increase the use of innovative technology, such as machine learning and AI, to improve efficiency and the tools that are used within the identification process.

    Encouragingly, we are delivering on this mission. This is underpinned by a real-time internal system that closely analyses typical player traits that raises concern and notifies our dedicated responsible gaming team who then continue to identify, monitor and approach players to support a safer gambling experience.

    The implementation of such tools and systems illustrates the seriousness that Aspire Global places on player protection.

    Safer Gambling Week 2022 was a major success for Aspire Global and our intentions to promote responsible gambling. However, as an ambitious company that has sustainability fully embedded within our overall strategy, we will never take our eye off the ball and will continue to explore additional and innovative ways to offer players worldwide the safest gaming experiences.
